# Content and Media Licensing

The root [Apache-2.0 license](LICENSE) applies to source code intentionally released by this repository unless a file or directory states another license. It does not automatically relicense every item served by the website.

## Material with Separate Terms

- **Papers and manuscripts:** use the license and citation shown on the paper, DOI record, or archive landing page.
- **Datasets and benchmark records:** use the license stated in the dataset card, manifest, or repository that owns the artifact.
- **Community-authored documentation and synthetic examples:** CC BY 4.0 only where the file or directory explicitly says so.
- **Photographs, portraits, conference images, illustrations, logos, and brand assets:** all rights reserved unless an adjacent notice states otherwise.
- **Third-party material:** remains subject to the original owner's terms and attribution requirements.
- **Names and marks:** Apache-2.0 does not grant trademark rights or permission to imply endorsement.

An accessible URL is not, by itself, a grant of rights. When no license is stated for a non-code item, request permission before redistribution or derivative use.
