Public Release - 2026-07-06

Consensus is not evidence unless dissent has a route into the decision.

Artifact: dissent_as_evidence_route_v1. This note treats dissent, silence, and disagreement as reviewable evidence routes before meeting notes, OKRs, AI summaries, or management dashboards are treated as valid consensus.

Dissent as Evidence Route v1 public evidence visual.

Artifact

A clean meeting summary can erase the evidence route.

A meeting can look aligned because the record captures only explicit agreement. The review packet asks whether silence, hesitation, unresolved risk, or minority judgment had a route into the decision before consensus is treated as evidence.

Dissent needs an explicit path from meeting record to boundary update.

Decision Route

Dissent needs an explicit path from meeting record to boundary update.

AI meeting notes, remote collaboration tools, OKR dashboards, and management summaries can increase documentation while reducing independent correction. The evidence route is the path by which a dissent signal forces a counterexample review, owner update, or scope change.

A decision system should preserve disagreement before it optimizes alignment.

Review

A decision system should preserve disagreement before it optimizes alignment.

Leadership and governance claims become stronger when the dissent signal is named, linked to the meeting record, and allowed to update the decision boundary. Without that route, a team can convert silence into false consensus and optimize the wrong objective.
